Prior to this pandemic, my then fiance and I didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings so our guest list had gotten to 185 (and we still had to leave people off the list). We knew some would be upset but we had to put a cap on the guest list. Well RONA happened and our wedding plans changed drastically. After a lot of crying and funky attitude (on my part), we made the decision to still get married despite was currently taking place. We decided to have our wedding at our home, the same place he proposed. We set up coctail tables for guest to social distance, we had a small dance floor for our first dance, a cake table and a caterer. I even walked down the aisle. We decided to live stream so that our family and friends could watch. We made the decision to make it public on Facebook because we have relatives who are not on social media and because we have a love that we wanted share. If you know us, we are not secretive about the love that we have for one another. So we went from a guest list of 186 to little over 1,900 people who viewed our wedding. It ended with us not having to hurt anyone's feelings. I ended up with the wedding that I was suppose to have and that was one surrounded by love. So I said all of this to say, don't let anyone say that you shouldn't be upset or disappointed. You have every right to feel that way. Most importantly, if the original date you set is what you want, then get creative and do it. Enjoy the pictures and I hope your wedding is more than you imagined.
