Hi everyone! I got married in new england winter and my rings were almost a little big but i like them that way and am super cautious. i though about getting them sized but would prefer them bigger. now it’s getting hot and my fingers SWELL all summer. So my rings are uncomfortably small now. Do i have to get them sized every season?? what do i do? help

You do not want to continuously size the same ring. It will eventually break if you do that. It's not uncommon for fingers to swell and change size depending on the weather. However, it seems like it's pretty extreme for you. Would you consider maybe having a silicone band that you could wear when you swell up? You can buy them pretty inexpensively on Amazon. Another option is maybe sizing up and then wearing one of those spacer things to make them smaller when your fingers are less frozen. You can buy them online as well. They look like little clear plastic coils you put over the bottom part of the ring.

I agree with PP, you do not want to constantly have you ring sized. You could get an inexpensive band to wear during the summer, that fits you better, when your fingers swell.

My engagement ring is a bit too big for me. It is very delicate and I don't want to resize it. I got these little plastic springs that wrap around your ring and keep it snug against your finger. You can easily take them off if your fingers swell. Ring sizes 1

If you find your fingers swelling super regularly (most days in the summer) maybe you could look for an alternative band. You don’t want to be uncomfortable for months at a time. It could be silicon, simple metal band or something coordinated with your original ring in a bigger size. I know I wouldn’t want to be panicking about my fingers swelling and the ring digging in constantly!

I bought something similar to this when I first got my e-ring because it was a full size too big. They are super inexpensive and really easy to adjust - perfect if your fingers change size constantly.

Do not get your ring resized multiple times regularly - resizing is really only meant to be a few times in the lifetime of a ring. Certain alloys in particularly (like rose gold) are prone to cracking and should only be sized infrequently.

Check out a U-guard I think it's called. It would be best to do this in the summer, since your fingers swell. It goes on the inside of the band and it's made of a springy alloy (like gold) that will pinch your finger (not uncomfortably) to hold it in place. You'd size your actual ring to the bigger summer size, and when they're less swollen in the winter, the U-guard should keep it in place.

You can have them stretched to your summer size and then have little beads put in them. They're normally used either to prevent a ring with stones from spinning around or as way to size them temporarily, but they might make it possible for you to prevent your rings from falling off in the winter and prevent your fingers from feeling like they're going to fall off in the summer.

Definitely do not resize them constantly. My mom has a different band she wears in the summer versus wearing her original band in the winter. The second band was really cheap, but it’s pretty and definitely works.
