Rehearsal Lunch

Billie, on November 12, 2019 at 2:11 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 8
What’s the protocol for the rehearsal meal? I will be doing a lunch the day before and I’m picturing it to be super casual and chill..the calm before the storm haha. So I’d want it to be at a local brewery. We would rent it for a couple hours, provide appetizers (pupus) and then if anyone wants to order something else or drinks they can on their own. Would this be wrong?

I think that is a good plan. We are having pizza, snacks and beer/wine/soda at our hotel after rehearsal and decorating.

You should provide a meal for those attending, not just appetizers.

I’d find it a little strange if I went to a rehearsal meal (lunch, dinner, whatever) and had to pay for extra food. So I think you can do either lunch, or just appetizers, but don’t give them the option to pay for their own extra food. It seems a little tacky to me.

You got responses on your previous post. You need to provide a meal for your guests if you're expecting them to take time to rehearse for your wedding, not just appetizers.

I agree with Caytlyn. My sister was just in a wedding where the brides didn't pay for the rehearsal dinner and everyone was a little offended by it. I thought it was very rude. If you're requiring that they attend a rehearsal, you should provide a meal.

You need to provide a meal if you're expecting people to show up and rehearse with you.
