Rehearsal Dinner

Ashley, on June 6, 2021 at 8:51 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 8

Hello,

Who do you all invite to rehearsal dinner? Obviously everyone that can come that is in the bridal party, but do you also invite parents and grandparents? We are at 28-30 people and oooooweee, things are pricey!

Typically, you invite the parents but grandparents are optional. In addition to the bridal party, you want to invite their significant others and the officiant.

You only invite the people directly involved in the ceremony and their significant others. Plus ones for singles are not invited. Parents and grandparents only if they are part of the ceremony.

Some people skip the rehearsal dinner and invite all traveling guests.

What many don’t realize is that it doesn’t have to be fancy/expensive. Many people do pizza/beers and call it a day.

Bridal party, significant others of BP, officiant, parents of flower girl/ring bearer and your parents. You can open it up to grandparents but they don't need to come. Some people also include out of town guests but that is optional

That’s it IMO. In no way is a couple obligated to host out of town guests at the same meal. This seems to be the norm now. Too much. Like a mini reception! Keep it to those involved in the wedding ceremony and that’s it.

Thank you, Lisa! His whole family is from Michigan so we wouldn't be able to host that!
