Rehearsal Dinner

Breanna, on August 6, 2019 at 11:47 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 9
This will be my first and hopefully, only wedding and I am kinda stumped. When it comes to the rehearsal dinner, who all do you invite? Who all is supposed to be there?

Only those who are in the wedding (wedding party, officiant, parents [if they're invited]) or who are immediate family member are generally invited (including their plus ones).

It also depends on who is hosting the Rehearsal Dinner. If the parents are choosing to host they'll have a say in the guest list but if you are hosting it you can do as you wish.

    Hey Breanna!

What type of rehearsal dinner do you think you would like? It can be totally dependant on what your personal style is so you could opt for a restaurant dinner or backyard BBQ!

It depends on your wedding and your venue! If you're having a mostly traditional wedding, you will invite the wedding party, officiant and immediate family. If you're having a more casual wedding or have a venue with a lot of space you can open it up to whoever you want to be there. Our venue for our rehearsal dinner can only accommodate 80 so we have to keep ours pretty close to traditional.

    We're inviting:

    Parents

Siblings, spouses, and their kids (they'll be our ring bearers)

    Bridal party and their guests

FHs out of town guests (FFIL is paying so he had a say in this)

    Officiant (FHs best friend)

DJ and his wife (friends of ours)

All in all, about 30-40 people.

We are inviting the bridal party, their significant others, the officiant, and a few out of town guests who are traveling quite a distance to attend the wedding. But we are also keeping it low-key and having it at a friend's house, backyard BBQ style.
