Rehearsal Dinner

Joel, on October 13, 2020 at 6:13 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 11
I’ve read tons of articles on this and I’m probably stressing more then I need to be about it. I have an idea of how it’s going to go and what we want. But I wanna hear from you all!

Decorations or no decorations? Party favors happen here as well?
I want to hear what you all did or are planning to do? 🥰

Our rehearsal was at our venue then we went to an Italian restaurant for dinner. The restaurant had a private room which we booked. My mom, grandmother and sister-in-law spent the afternoon of the rehearsal decorating it. We didn't decorate the venue for the rehearsal. The only reason we decided to decorate the restuarant was because my mom came to me crying that she didn't feel as involved in the wedding planning process as she would thought she would be so we gave her the task of decorating. We also didn't have any type of favors for our rehearsal. We did give our parents and bridal party their gifts though.

We had our rehearsal at a restaurant and we didn’t decorate. We spent enough money on our destination wedding that I didn’t feel the need to spend more on the rehearsal.

We won’t be doing either- unnecessary in my book.

Traditionally it's super simple and casual. Order pizzas and sodas. No decorations necessary. No favors are ever need for any event. No need to dress up..wear a cute comfy top and jeans/leggings. Save the big celebrattion for the reception.

We also had our rehearsal at our venue, then we all went out to a Mexican restaurant for dinner. I just reserved a table for 15 people, (just parents and wedding party). We didn't decorate for the dinner or anything. It was super casual and simple, and people just ordered off the menu there. We also brought all of our thank you gifts for our parents and bridal party and they opened them there as well. Everyone had a fun time getting to know each other before the actually wedding day.

I've never been to a rehearsal dinner that had decorations or favors. My fiance and I don't plan to decorate at ours or provide favors (other than the gifts we got for our wedding party). I think as long as you provide food after the rehearsal, you should be good!

We aren’t going to decorate. We have a restaurant in our family that we will probably use for our rehearsal dinner since it will be either cheap or free. One thing that my FH’s sister did at her rehearsal dinner that I loved and want to do as well was give tiny speeches about how much each person in the bridal party meant to them. It was just really nice because it was their way of giving a thank you recognition to the people who were in their bridal party helping out. No favors, although the gifts for the bridal party and parents were handed out there.

We did not decorate or do favors for our rehearsal dinner. We got married at a vineyard and had our rehearsal in their tasting room. It was pretty enough on its own without decorations.

Our rehearsal dinner was held in a rented party room and we had lots of decorations to brighten the place up (they were mostly DIY--lots of mason jars and fairy lights, candles, etc.). We definitely wouldn't have had decorations if it were in an actual restaurant though. I've been to lots of rehearsal dinners with decorations, but I've never been to one with party favors.
