What were some of the things you put on your registry? What was the most expensive gift request. I have such a hard time asking for things from my friends and family.

We put a stand mixer on there thinking a few people could go in together on it, and it was one of the first things bought lol. We also had an instant pot and some new towels and sheets. The older generation were definitely more into the registry and wanted to buy us actual gifts. Our most expensive thing was a bookshelf, but no one has nabbed that one yet. I would think about things you can upgrade, things it would be nice to have. The stand mixer was my "it would be nice to own", and now we have it sitting on the counter lol.

Microwave. It wasn't that expensive either aha. That was for my registry of items. Registry of experiences... Maybe Mario Cart tour. I went to Japan for my honeymoon so I asked for activities in a honeymoon fund too

My husband and I didn’t live together before marriage, although we did each live alone. We registered for things that filled holes in our respective kitchens. Some of our most expensive items were bedding items, fire pit and bread maker. Close family bought almost all of those.

We got married in May and my birthday is in June, so when family asked me what I wanted for my birthday, I directed them to our registry. It was awesome to get additional items that way!

I’ve lived on my own since college, so I have pretty much everything we need for the house. However, we did register for a few typical upgrades: bedding, dishes, towels, etc. We have also registered for a nice new vacuum, a luggage set, a Yeti cooler, and a fireproof safe. (The Yeti is the most expensive, with the vacuum being the next runner up). We also registered for some tools that we think will be useful to have.

My fiance and I moved in recently, and therefore we have some things. A lot of this stuff could be replaced though. New silverware, new dishes, bedding, towels. A lot of the things we have are old, discolored and even from a previous nareiage. We ended up asking for a lot of the normal things. I believe the most expensive is a fine china set and a nice humidifier/dehumidifier. Seemed like a practical gift.

I have a KitchenAid from the 80s that I got from my mom. I know a lot of brides find it a "rite of passage" to register for one but I love the sentimentality of mine plus it's a workhorse. So in lieu of this I registered for a fancy toaster oven that I've had my eye on. It runs about the same as the KitchenAid.

We put a $700 (?) vacuum similar to a Roomba on there as a group gift. Really we didn’t have much to put on our registry but we did include a lot of cheaper items. What we were thinking about is the discount you’ll usually get after the wedding in case we want to buy some of our want items that we don’t get with any cash gifts received.
