Registries

So... I already made a Bed Bath & Beyond Registry but am looking to add more websites to my list. I’ve recently been disappointed in Target because most of their merchandise isn’t available to add to your registry, so give me suggestions!

We did Crate & Barrel (along with Target - didn't notice that issue!, and BBB). I know a lot of people do Amazon registries as well!

We did BBB, Macy’s, and Honeyfund. Honeyfund links to a lot of retail registries so we used that as our primary—guests surfed to the other registries if they preferred to get a physical gift.

Most people use Bed Bath and Beyond, Target, and Walmart. I've known a few people to use Macy's and Pier One but not as the main registry.

We did BB&B and Amazon. Absolutely love my Amazon registry! I’ve found that some items on the BB&B registry are sometimes unavailable or discontinued (without notification), but never had this issue with Amazon.

We have a registry with Zola! They're partnered with a variety of brands/stores, so we were able to find a lot of things on there. Whatever we didn't find, we added onto our Crate and Barrell registry, and our Target registry.

We thought about Amazon, but most of our friends had a registry through them and almost always, all their Amazon items would be 'out of stock', so you couldn't purchase them!

Most of my registry is with Williams-Sonoma/Pottery Barn/West Elm - you make one account and then you can add from any of the family of stores. And then I have supplemental registries at Macys and BBB, just to make sure that most price ranges are covered since Williams-Sonoma/Pottery Barn can get expensive.

We registered at Macy's, Crate & Barrel, and IKEA. I definitely understand your frustration with Target. I'm currently pregnant and we registered for some items from Target and they randomly go out of stock/are discontinued so then you have to find a different item to replace it. I actually spent all day yesterday looking for replacement items that Target discontinued.

Walmart and Amazon are good other choices in addition to BBB. Also having a place for guests to just donate money in case they can't make a choice on a gift.

Do not use ZOLA's registry. I used Crate and Barrel as well as the Zola registry and have had an awful go with the Zola part. I had plates from them and they were trashed within 6 months. I would think a dining set would last longer than that for 2 adults usually just eating 1x/ day on them.

Since it was outside the return window, they say there is nothing they can do. So be sure to keep your registry to known retailers so you can speak to a real person if there is an issue. And, avoid Canvas Home Shell Bisque 4-Piece Place Setting - they are cool plates, but just do not hold up.
