I'm going to try and keep it as short as I can here, but our wedding was a dream come true and I couldn't have asked for anything more. I'll give a real quick rundown of our major vendors and then get to the good part... the pictures!
Venue: Buffalo Trace Distillery, Frankfort KY. Buffalo Trace was so easy to work with and gave us such a beautiful, perfect place to get married! Our guests got to take a tour in between the ceremony and reception in lieu of a cocktail hour, which was a really cool touch.
Photography: Daring Tales of Darling Bones, Lexington KY. Christine was wonderful, we never felt awkward or uncomfortable with her, and all her poses felt and looked super natural. She got amazing candids too. The photos speak for themselves!
Catering: City Barbeque and Crank and Boom Ice Cream, Lexington KY. Both caterers were amazing! Our wedding dinner was absolutely delicious and was displayed beautifully, and the staff was on top of everything. Everyone loved the lemonade stand they brought too. I talked a lot on here about having our favorite ice cream, Crank and Boom, instead of cake, and it was the BEST CHOICE EVER!! Everyone loved it!
DJ: Entertainment Essentials (DJ Woody), Louisville KY. Eric (aka DJ Woody) was the best! We gave him a super vague idea of what we wanted for the dancing music vibe and he still managed to nail it. Our ceremony music was perfect and he was a really organized emcee. The night flowed really smoothly.
DOC: Jessica Thomas with Allow Me Events, Mt. Sterling KY. Jessica was a GODSEND. We did not have to a thing but enjoy our day. She is crazy organized and takes care of every little thing.
Hair: Wedding Hair by Mollie Monthie Radden, Lexington KY. Mollie is so talented and weddings are her speciality, so she was definitely in her element and you could tell. Everyone's hair looked beautiful and held up all night.
Honestly, besides hiring incredible vendors, the best things we did were keep it simple and keep it true to ourselves. That's the main thing I'd advise anyone else to do!
