We postponed our big wedding to 4.17.21, but decided to get married on our original date. Our plans were to get married in the courthouse, but after we got our license we found out the courthouses were booked 2 months out. So then again, we had to replan our wedding within a week of our wedding day. It worked out because we were able to get married in the city where we met and got engaged in, and it definitely felt more of a wedding than in a courthouse. Only our parents and brothers were there. The park we got married in was perfect, better than what we expected. It was actually right across from the place where we first met.
Some awesome things that happened the day of our wedding was the forecast said it was going to be cloudy all day. But when we finally kissed and were married, the sun came shining through. Then at the end of the night when we were heading back to our Airbnb, it started to rain which I was so happy about because they say it’s good luck. When we got back, we just got in our pjs, popped a bottle of champagne, and danced. It was so fun!
Some downsides that I didn’t let get to me was one, my bouquet was not what I expected... I showed my husband a photo of what I sent the florist and what I got was completely different and he agreed, he wasn’t sure how I got what I got vs. the photo I showed her. It was still pretty, just not what I wanted. Second, I was really tired and our photographer could tell, and I was worried it would really show in the photos (it did in some photos). If anyone has advice on how to be well rested and energized on your big day, lmk! I did only have the day before our wedding off, so I know for our wedding next year to request more days off prior. Third, the Airbnb I got ready in didn’t have a full length mirror, so I wasn’t able to properly fix the shape wear I was wearing so you could kind of see the o outline of it in the photos. Other than that, everything was pretty much perfect🤍
