Hi all,
I have already posted lots of non-professional photos because of the excitement, now I've gotten the professional ones back and will shamelessly post again.
First of all, despite all hiccups, I was so happy with my wedding. This even not just showed the love of my husband and family, but also the love from true friends. I'm originally from Texas but currently live in Germany. Germany is also where I met my now husband, therefore we decided the wedding should take place here as it is a meaningful place for our relationship. However, this meant our families had to travel from China and most of my friends had to travel from the states to attend. It brought a lot of trepidation as I wondered if I'm creating too much of a hassle for my friends. In the end, all except 3 people accepted our invitation, and all of the RSVP'd showed up for the event. In some cases, they were friends I haven't met in years and still flew that far to come; I was beyond happy. We had 68 adults and 5 children; it’s not a big wedding but a fun one to plan with multiple nationalities attending (US, Canada, China, Germany, Brazil…). Very grateful for our self-reliable, accountable and fun guests.
As the wedding took place in a little town near Hannover, Germany, not sure if my vendor recap would be of help to anyone, but I’ll put it here just in case.
Ceremony & Reception venue: Marienburg Castle (very beautiful venue, catering was also super delicious; Germany has many castles but not many allow you to have a reception inside the historical walls)
Dress: Lady Bird
Hair & Makeup: self-employed lady we found by chance
Photography: Kirill Brusilovsky Wedding Photography (happy with his work, which you will see from photos below)
Cake: Mundus Fine Art Backery (we ordered our wedding cake plus the dessert table from them, the guests inhaled the sweets so fast that I only got to see what they looked like from the photos…)
DJ: a local DJ from the Hannover region, I don’t remember his name and have nothing to complain or recommend about him.
My dress, the dressing room had a lovely balcony that over looked the courtyard
Our rings
My "fake" wedding shoes that I only wore for pictures, for the most part I was happy in my Adidas sneakers
