Preserving Your Wedding Cake To Eat It On Your One Year Anniversary?

Preserving the top tier of your wedding cake and eating it on your first anniversary is becoming more and more popular. After much thought and consideration, my husband and I decided to do it. Are you preserving your wedding cake for your one year anniversary? Why or why not?

A mini trip after the wedding sounds way better than figuring out how to store your cake for a year.

I'm kind of grossed out at the thought of it but we'll see what happens. Maybe I'll plan something big just so I can avoid eating it Smiley xd

Apparently the practice is for good luck. No one in my family has ever done it.

Okay good, I feel a little better now. Most people are saying it's gross.

That's a great idea. I need to see my bakery offers that.

A lot of people are saying their bakery offers that and now I need to see if mine does as well. They never mentioned it, but then again we weren't going to freeze our cake at first.

I love the idea of eating the cake and reminiscing on our big day.

My fiance doesn't like sweets so he probably wouldn't eat it if we did manage to save it.
I also don't care for left overs.

We saved the top tier but will likely only eat a small piece.
