Pregnant Bridesmaids

Alexa, on August 24, 2022 at 12:55 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 8

Two of my best friends are pregnant will be 4 & 6 months along for my weekend bachelorette trip. They are both committed to coming and haven’t voiced any concerns to me. I’m so appreciative that they are making the trip to be there for me and I want to make sure they are extra comfy and taken care of. I’m going to give them the option to dip out of any of our activities whenever they are feeling ready to go home but I also want to pamper them a little. What can I include special for these two in the welcome bags? Little accoutrements to make the weekend as stress free as possible for them.

Hmm, are they friends with each other? I'm thinking if there's an activity you're thinking they may not end up wanting to do (bar crawl, wine tour, etc) you could get them each a gift card to go get a massage instead? Soothing, essential oil lotions or min-diffusers if they're into that kind of thing! That's all that I can think of for things that could make being pregnant more comfortable, but you could also ask them what their cravings are right before the party and stock the house with those snacks!

    edit: mini-diffusers lol

Oh that’s really cute! I’m also giving everyone tie dyed pajamas and silk eye masks so there will be a comfy vibe right off the bat.

As far as suggestions I’m not great with that but I do want to say how great of a friend you are. I see a lot of people on here being nasty that their bridesmaids are pregnant and it’s nice to see someone who actually cares about their loved ones

That's so considerate of you!! If you and the rest of the group are going to be drinking, you could get them sparkling grape juice/non-alcoholic wine so they can have a beverage to enjoy as well.

I’m pregnant now. Mints and gum is fantastic! Also just making sure there are plenty of snacks (pretzels, yougurt, granola bars, fruit were some of my staples early on). When I got too hungry I would get sick. Maybe ask them what they’re craving. A nice mock tail would be a nice gesture. It sounds like you’ve got the comfy part taken care of.
I have also been tired the entire pregnancy. So don’t be upset if they want to take a little nap or go to bed early.
You sound like a great friend! Have fun at your party.

That's is awesome that your wanting give them something on your bachelorette weekend. That is so selfeeve of you friend to do this for them in there condition. If you're going a hotel maybe a massage if it's too costly. Or asked the what they crave or a little treat that they like and dont eat to often. Something comforting for their feet

This is really sweet. I think you could ask about any cravings or food aversions and make sure the food that is available aligns with their needs as best as possible (assuming one isn't craving the exact food the other can't stand the smell or sight of, LOL). But in general plenty of snacks (a mix of salty, sweet, and some protein and carbs) is going to be helpful for all, but especially your pregnant friends.

Someone suggested a massage which could be nice but I'd run that idea by your friends first before splurging. Some people feel alien in their bodies during pregnancy and the idea of stripping down at all could be overwhelming.

Oh and I'd make sure all of your activities have quick and easy bathroom access for both peeing and any nausea those moms-to-be might be experiencing!
