So, one thing I never even thought about, until it was too late (will explain) is that I never practiced my new signature after changing my name. Well, I used to sign out my entire first name middle initial and last name, but then I got lazy. Being a mom means signing a lot of things haha. So, I started signing my first and last initial...and had been using that as my signature (except for when I signed really important docs, then I signed my entire name). Quick and easy. Andddd this never crossed my mind, but when me and my husband went to the bank to join our finances, I went to go sign my name and realized that I have a new name and didn't really plan for this LOL. So, I lazily signed my first and new last initial, thinking that I could practice later and perfect it. Wellll.......the bank teller decided to tell me AFTER I signed everything that I better use the signature that I signed with (which is just DD, because I just had to be lazy) so they will be able to identify me. *blink blink* Excuse me what? You mean I am stuck with that signature? And she said YES!!! OMG, I think I am totally going to practice, and go back to the bank and ask if I could resign everything so I can have a "do-over" haha, think they will accept? Anyways, this might not seem like much to some, but to me It was just a small little (but kind of important) detail that I never thought about, until this happened. So, learn from my mistakes and practice your signature ladies before changing your name and signing any important documents.
