Pizza Rehearsal Dinner!!

Sarah, on November 19, 2020 at 10:24 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 13
Hi! I am looking to do a super low cost & chill pizza and beer rehearsal. My problem is that our wedding is about an hour away from where we live, so we don’t have a place to host this event. Any suggestions? TIA!!

Do you plan to rehearse in the venue?

Hi! Yes we will do the actual rehearsal the on wedding day at the venue. So this is more for us to see our guests and hang out.

Is there a pizza restaurant in the area where your venue is? Or anywhere within a 15-20 minute drive of the venue? You could hold a pizza rehearsal dinner at the restaurant! Otherwise, maybe at your venue? Or is there a community center near your venue that would let you rent out a room? If it's nice outside, you could also find a park to hold the rehearsal dinner.

Can you have it at the venue? At the pizza restaurant?

The venue was a one day rental so unfortunately no. I am waiting to hear back from the restaurant!

There is a pizza place, I am waiting to see what they say if they allow big groups. The venue isn’t an option, I am looking for event spaces and or a park!! Thank you for the advice.

We rehearsed in our venue, and my FH just picked up little cesars, and beer and cokes for us to eat while rehearsing!

Love that!! Except we are doing our actual rehearsal the day of. I am thinking maybe just me and my small family will go to dinner and then maybe pick a spot to meet people for drinks after if they’d like to hang out.

Then why have it near the venue at all? It sounds like the issue is no pizza place near the venue but this isn't actually a rehearsal dinner- it's just dinner. Have it wherever. Sorry, I think I'm confused on what exactly the issue is?

Rehearsal dinners aren't for the guests but for the wedding party/those walking the aisle to thank them for coming out to rehearse for your big day.

Hi! The issue is that we have to drive up Friday night in order to be there early Saturday. As I said before , it’s not really a “rehearsal”, just would like to see our out of town family members as much as we can.

Gotcha. Maybe the hotel you're staying in has some options, meeting rooms or somewhere outside

Do you have a hotel block? If so, maybe they have a conference room you can use. Otherwise, I'd look at pizza restaurants or community centers
