Photographer returned photos

cassondra, on September 5, 2019 at 2:41 PM Posted in Married Life 0 13

How long did it take for your photographer to send you all of your photos?

I don't want to be insensitive as she is a new mom, on vacation and its only been two weeks but just curious how long everyone else had to wait.

If I remember correctly, I think our photographer said it would be around 2-3 weeks.

What does your contract say? Ours specifies 10-12 weeks in peak months and 8-10 weeks in non-peak, but every photographer is different.

Our photographer told us 4 to 6 weeks while he was shooting on our wedding day, but we received them by 4.

8 weeks. But a lot of ours were on film and we had to wait for those to be developed and scanned.

Check your contract. That will tell you when you should expect them back. Have you received your sneak peak?

Yep we had that within 214 hours. We didnt have a written contract bc we broke rules and used a frendor... otherwise I wouldve checked it. She has always returned our photos in timely manners (engagement, family, maternity etc) just curious what other people had in their contracts

What does your contract say? We got ours quickly but the contract said 5 weeks. I would not reach out and ask about photos until you've reached whatever the timeline the contract states.

Gotcha. Most photographers have them back in 6-8 weeks. After 10 weeks, I’d probably start asking questions.

Mine took 12 weeks (3 months). I think this is on the longer side but still within the average range. I think I waited around 10 weeks before I asked her the ETA.

6-8 weeks was my time frame, my photographer let me know he had bought a house around week 5 after the wedding but I had my photos at week 8. I just went over all of the almost 1,700 photos he ended up giving me.

Currently downloading the remainder as I type this.

We also picked a photographer who is a stickler about a 3 week or less turnaround. So... YMMV.
