NWR: insane baby fever!

Kenzie, on September 24, 2017 at 1:20 PM Posted in Married Life 0 80

We went to our local festival last night to watch the parade and indulge in all things fried and Oh. My. Goodness. Newborns every where! *heart eyes* every twenty seconds I caught myself saying "babe, newborns, my ovaries!" Lol! We have an 18 month old who's getting way too independent and that may be pushing my fever even farther but lordy I need me a squishy little babe like now

Anyone else's baby fever through the roof?

Anyone considering ttc after the wedding?

Negative. FH and I want to wait at least 8 years to have children. We have financial and travel goals to meet before we include anyone else in our marriage.

I also see sick children every day. I wrangle them to swab them for strep, to look in their ears, to pull foreign bodies out of nostrils and ear canals. It makes children less appealing.

I still get baby fever and I'm a few years away from grandkids lol. My best friend had a late-in-life baby last year and he's so chubby and sweet, it's absolutely killer.

There's no way we're having another, though. My husband is getting snipped soon. We had all the babies we needed. I'm going to wait for the grands and try to be patient and not pushy about it. It's hard though! I caught myself about to ask my oldest what sort of baby names she liked last time I saw her lol.

My FSIL is pregnant. FH has baby fever like a mofo. He wants one and wants one now. It's not going to happen but man does he have some high ass hopes. I'm hoping once the baby actually comes he calms down once he realizes what having a baby truly means

FH and I don't want kids until we get to take a trip to Europe and get our business up and running, which realistically will take at least 3 years. We definitely both also have acute cases of baby fever due to our 18 month old niece and another on the way!

We keep reminding ourselves we haven't even adopted a dog yet, so clearly we aren't ready for kids.

@Keisha - how many diapers will it take before he realizes what a baby truly means?

My FSIL informed my FH and I that she would like to "start trying" with her husband when the come to our destination wedding. Oh thank you I am glad your goal at your brother's wedding is to screw your husband.

@txn my plan is to babysit at two months and he'll realize how much work it is to get up every two hours to feed a baby. Diapers he can handle loss of sleep is going to kill his baby fever

I love babies! We are either having another one in 2 years when I graduate or sadly we are done. One was fun, two could be a handful.. hmm

Yeah, I've got it. We decided to wait until I tapered off of some medications I wouldn't be able to take while pregnant. We thought it would probably take a year to taper...it took 3 months. So now I'm all "Let's go!" but H ended up doing a 3-month deployment so that will delay things a bit. I'm guessing we'll start trying around Christmas, after he gets back and we move into a bigger place.

I was as Mass this morning sitting in the choir and it felt like all I could see were families with kids and pregnant women!

@Susan I'm only on here like once a week, I must miss them lol. FH has been working his butt off lately so we can after the wedding and I definitely want to but I still have some hold backs on it!

@txn yea, if I was doing that everyday I'm sure I'd be in your same boat! Luckily my girl had a pretty damn good immune system, we've barely had any sickness to deal with

@gymmie oh if only you knew! Lol! FH has 5 younger brothers and sisters that I helped raise along with my 3 younger cousins and they all seemed so much more needy at this age! My daughter refuses to sleep with us, once she's tired she grabs her blanket and grabs you and says "nigh nigh" and we lay her down and she passes out, no problem! She's plays by herself and if you try to play and she doesn't want to she tells you "no tanks" and goes off by herself. The only time she acts like she needs us is the rare times she's not feeling well and wants to snuggle. (Obviously she needs us all the time to take care of her but that's the only time she has an interest in cuddling/playing with us) I dunno! Everyone says we're lucky cause we get our own time to relax on the couch and don't have to tend to her every second but sometimes I'd like it.

I go back and forth! One minute Im all I.want kids as soon as possible after the wedding and the next I go, ehhh… maybe well wait. I honestly could go either way. We are willing to adopt since we arent even sure if I can have kids due to some medical conditions and other things. But I.think we will have at least one. FH is an only child and I know his mom would love being a grandma!

@thyia I agree with the one was fun, two could be a handful! FH comes from a huge family and wants at least 4 kids though. Trying to talk him off the ledge and settle for 2 MAYBE 3 lol

@MrsB aw hopefully you guys get to start trying soon after he gets back!
