No registry, what to do

Heather, on May 22, 2019 at 10:13 PM Posted in Registry 0 9
Ok so I forgot to do a registry, OOPS! My invites are out and RSVPs back already. Wedding isn't until August. Should I do a registry? If so, how do I tell everyone? Im lost. The only reason I remembered is because FH cousin asked where we were registered. LOL Im like I didnt do that I so forgot. Planning stuff is not my thing, yet its all left up to me, so here ya go this is what ya get! oh boy!

Why are your invitations even out for an August wedding? Anyway...you can still register and just let people know via word of mouth when they ask. If you have website, you can list it there. Registry info doesn’t go in the invitation anyway.

You can definitely still register. Especially since the wedding isn't till August. I'm also confused tho as to why invites are out already. Is it destination? Mine is August 11 and invites will be going out early June

I had to because of family issues, and travel and money, not me them. Entire FH side has to travel. Had to do it early. I cant do word of mouth because everyone is literally all over the place, so that option is out for me. But thank you though!

Registry information should never go in the invitation so you were correct in doing that. If you want to make a registry now you can and if people ask you can tell them. If you have a wedding website you can also put it there.

Lol this sucks I'm sorry. I don't have a registry and I won't have one since our guest count is like 25 and I'm not inviting them for the gifts anyway.

Lol I don’t get why some posters are questioning you sending out invites lol it’s like 3 months away and despite everyone on here saying 6-8 week timeframe every other source for wedding advice I have ever read says to send it out about 3 month mark. If people are gonna forget they’re not going to forget regardless of its 8 or 12 weeks..

anyways do you want gifts or cash? Gifts = registers cash = no registry

    THIS.

I think you’re fine without one. Your guests will likely bring cards with cash inside so just make sure you have a visible card box so people know where to put them at the wedding.

My fiance and I are both pretty minimalist, we're most likely not going to do a registry. Stuff is just stuff, but gift cards, cash, and checks are VERY welcome. We don't care about the amount, their presence is a present.
