Hi,
So I just got married in June 26 and I will be changing my last name.
Does anyone have a list of everything I need to change my name on? I feel like I’m forgetting things. I’m currently waiting for the marriage certificate so I can go to the dmvThank you in advance!

You start with social security, as that is how you change it federally. Then you can change it on your license and passport. After that, the bank/credit cards, utility accounts, insurance, work/school.

Just Google what all do you need to change your name on and it'll give you a list. Besides DMV, these are the bigger other ones: SSN, bank, passport

Social security card, license, banks, passport, insurances, work, credit cards, any loans that you may have etc

Totally agree with everyone- social security is first. DMV is 2nd. Banks, credit cards was 3rd for me. Just changed everything at my job which changed my insurance.

Yup all of what she said. I remember after we went to the Courthouse, the hassle of going back and forth on what to bring where and what I am supposed to have. You will def be running back and forth from the DMV and Social Secruity.
