Name change service

Is that like paying someone to do the process for you?

I briefly looked into it when I was changing my name, but all they do is mail you the forms you need and pre-fill some of the basic information (name/address). And honestly, in my whole name change process the only forms I had to fill out were SS (1 page), DMV (1 page....more like half a page really) and passport (3-4 pages). The passport one you can actually fill out online and then print and sign. I think SS is like that too, but I don't remember. All 3 of those forms are available online for free, so the pay service would save maybe 10-15 minutes worth of work. Everywhere else really was fine with me sending an email with a scanned copy of my marriage certificate and new driver's license.

I just purchased hitchswitch and was very disappointed. Yes it put about 6 documents all in one place but for $40 I couldve found them all myself pretty easily, I thought there would be more to it.

They are a waste of money. You can find everything you need to change your name online, for free.
