Ladies!!! Does your husband cook?? šŸ˜€

B. Yvette, on May 11, 2020 at 8:57 PM Posted in Married Life 1 31

Iā€™m grateful that my husband knows his way around the kitchen! Tonight, he made chicken pot pie. Over the weekend, it was broiled halibut, mini pizzas, and whole wheat pancakes. Tomorrow, heā€™s making chili and cornbread. Itā€™s hard sometimes, but It m definitely trying not to gain marriage weight. LOL

I cook most nights and my husband cooks probably once a week...Iā€™ve gained some weight since the wedding and heā€™s lost weight even though he eats way more than me šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

Yup my FH does the majority of the cooking and cleaning for us. He does love to make "man meals" so I usually just have a smaller portion of food and cook my own healthier meal preps for work!

Yes my man throws down every weekend. I do the week day cooking because he takes too long after work. So he needs all day to cook. LOL Heā€™s also the pancake king. So fluffy and crispy on the edges! Yum!! And heā€™s definitely a grill master! Loves when he gets the grill going!

My husband is a better cook than I am, but he doesn't cook that often because he normally gets home later than I do from work. He does make breakfast every Sunday morning though.

The first 22 years of our relationship, he barely cooked, like maybe a couple times a year, but since 2 years he often cook, even though itā€™s not good, it is edible. Only our youngest kid eat it with him. I and our adult kids often cook something ourselves. I still love his effort though.... I think it would take years for him to learn how to cook something good. I have been spoiling him, my mom said šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

So weā€™re not married yet, but thatā€™s one thing we discussed early on. We both cook, but I will say I donā€™t enjoy cleaning the dishes up after. I think thus far weā€™re fairly even on how often weā€™ve cooked for the other.

My FH makes breakfast and for dinner he can make 2 dishes: carne asada and shrimp (lol not together at the same time). But I do all the other cooking. Sometimes its hard because he doesnā€™t eat the same things I eat, and my daughter doesnā€™t eat the same things that we both eat so sometimes feels like im cooking 3 separate meals for all 3 of us.

I'm not allowed to be the cook.

DH is Italian-American, a very good cook, and enjoys it. I'm the baker, because I'm much better with contained heat sources than stoves. (...I burned my ankle once when someone else made me pasta. So. Don't ask. I don't know how. It happened.)

It was even in our vows, that he'd make lots of pasta!

My FH thinks I'm the better cook but he is awesome in the kitchen! We take turns usually but I work nights front line healthcare so recently he has really stepped it up and cooked more to help me Smiley heart . Makes me love him more!

My FH is not cooking (unless it's spagetti or eggs Smiley xd ). I really wish he would cook more, but he is great with drinks and barbeque!

My husband does 90% of the cooking. He actually likes cooking but hates cleaning up. Heā€™s my private chef and Iā€™m the dishwasher lol.

I am very thankful that my husband isn't afraid of the kitchen. I do most of the cooking but when I do, he does all the cleaning and dishes and vice versa so it works out for everyone.

The first few years we were together I was in law school, so my FH almost exclusively cooked. Since I graduated, we divide the workload pretty evenly depending on who gets home first. But he's definitely a better cook than I am. But I'm a better baker!

I cook most nights and all weekend mornings. He loves to cook too he just loves cooking steaks on the grill or seafood, leaving the traditional everyday meals to me. I wish he cooked more regular meals but I also don't see him making pasta happily. So I'll take what I can get, and besides the one who doesn't cook has to clean .

FH LOVES to cook and heā€™s so much better at it than I am. His cooking style is like those celebrity chefs with their fancy complicated recipes (beef Wellington, Japanese curry, pasta from scratch) and my style is quick easy simple (slow cooker ribs, tuna melts, pesto pasta). We always said if we win the lottery heā€™s going to go take all the classes at culinary school so he can learn all the things. He secretly wants to grow up to be a grandma - the kind that will feed anyone who walks through the door šŸ‘µ
