My fiancé and I want to plan a joint bachelorette/bachelor party but I’m not sure we’re to start 🤔

It's typically considered rude to host an event to honor yourself. Bachelor(ette) parties can be thrown by anyone other than the couple. If someone offers to host, just let them know that you want to do something coed and see how they feel about it.

We did that...we hosted our own, and made it more of a weekend trip than a joint bachelor/bachelorette party. We went to Vegas on a Friday and stayed through to Sunday. Casual gambling and hanging out on Friday and Friday night, Saturday a few of us met for breakfast, everyone did their own thing, and Saturday night we all went to dinner, a show and a nightclub after. Sunday a few of us met for breakfast again and then everyone left on their own.

Some of us shared hotel rooms, some didn't, some drove together (we live in AZ), some flew, and overall it was just a group of us having a blast with each other.

My MOH had us wear bride and groom shotglasses, I wore a fun veil and a bride headband, and we all just had a great time!

We’ve talked about doing a weekend trip with our bridal party and they all thought it was a great idea. I’d say talk to your bridal party and see what their thoughts are on a weekend trip or a night out with dinner/drinks/games, or whatever you guys like. I’m sure they’ll have some ideas for fun and they’ll be excited to celebrate with you!

Honestly, this is a job for your BP.

However, there are tons of things to do - theatre shows, county fairs, museums, anything "ugh, touristy" in your city that you secretly want to do, a beach trip... Just let your BP know that you'd prefer a joint one, and go from there!
