Illinois in fall

Hi there! My date is August 29th, 2020 and we are still planning on having the wedding. We have 119 guest that responded with yes. My venue and I are hopeful that Pritzker will allow the venues to at least go to 50% capacity since I have a large venue. Plus it’s outdoors too so I don’t understand why it wouldn’t be allowed. Not going to lie though, I am getting extremely nervous that it won’t be allowed and I’m going to have to postpone/cancel last minute. My wedding venue is in central Illinois.

That's so tough Jasie! How big is your total guest list? Would you need the restrictions to be lifted dramatically?

I'd definitely try to get a back-up plan in place just in case!

Hey there! We postponed our reception from June to late September, and our venue told us that they received word from their mayor that they could open at 50% capacity (which is more than enough for our guest list). The Phase 4 guidelines also say you can have more than one group of 50, as long as they are socially distanced. The guidelines are also confusing now that a judge overturned the governors mandates, so I guess now it’s up to the county/city/business on what they’re allowed to do? I would definitely be in touch with your venue to see what their county/city guidelines are, but hoping that it works out!!
