i Forgot to Order Rehearsal Dinner Invites

LaLa, on June 25, 2019 at 7:06 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 11

I ordered my Wedding Invites & have them ready in their envelopes. I forgot to order Rehearsal Dinner invites. We're doing Online RSVP.

I'm inviting 30 people to the rehearsal dinner (not everyone that's invited to the wedding). Can I send the invites for the rehearsal dinner completely separate from the wedding invites? The Rehearsal Invites would arrive to guests mailboxes later than the Wedding Invites. Or do both invites need to be sent at the same time, and I should order rehearsal invites and wait until they get here and include them with Wedding Invites?

( *edit* dangit I forgot to capitalize the I in my post caption lol, I swear I know I need to capitalize an I! oops. lol. )

You do rehearsal dinner after wedding invites. For rehearsal dinner I am just doing Evite. It is casual just BP SO and family of RB and FG. Plus out parents.

I second the evite. Rehearsal dinner is more casual.

The RD invites will be sent at a different time as we are handling the wedding invites & my future in-laws are handling the RD.

I ended up ordering paper invites because I had a chance to get 10 free cards around Christmastime from Shutterfly, but we'll be sending them closer to the actual dinner - I think you're totally good to wait to send yours!

It's fine to do them separate. We didn't even bother with invitations since it's just families, wedding party, and some out of towners. We gave them the information word of mouth.

We're going to send the RD invites separately. I think it's totally fine to do it that way, even if they arrive shortly after. I would probably try to have them sent fairly soon afterwards if there are out of town guests invited, in case they want to book their travel around your RD.

You could always send them separate, I don't think that's a big deal!

The last wedding I was in they didn’t send out rehearsal dinner invites, they just told us in the group chat when and where to be. (It was probably about 30 people too if that helps). It never occurred to me to do invites either, by now everyone knows when the rehearsal is since we’ve had it planned for almost a year (but we’ll definitely send out a reminder when it gets closer). Obviously depends on your situation, but if you don’t think you need physical invites then it’s one less thing to worry about!
