How things have been going since i have been married

I’ve seen a video where this pastor was speaking about marriage & something’s he said is that when people get married they forget to keep dating the cycle should be repeated! Everything you did to get to be your girlfriend & then your fiancée and then your wife date her that way the love that brought y’all together doesn’t die! Or that thing that attracted y’all doesn’t to go away!


I think a lot of the time some married people tend to lose that, like ok we married now & go in a corner ignore one another or doing whatever! Great advice you gave thanks for sharing!

You definitely have it for sure. In my lifetime I have seen couples discontinue dating while married. The result is a marriage slowly falls apart. From the day I met Amy no matter how old she gets and her beauty fades away. I don't think for one minute I could love her less for changing physically. I knew I was in love when I first met in person. I have to share my photo of us on our first date.

I agree! I still ask my husband to go on dates! Though last time I asked if he wanted to go out for dinner his response was "What are you trying to butter me up for???" Haha

We go on weekly dates, usually on Fridays. It’s a chance for us to reconnect and talk, without interruption from the kids.

With my work schedules its hard for a date night but we do simple things like going to see Christmas lights with dogs. My stepson lives with us. I give them space by seeing my mom in her 80"S I do snowblowing, bringing wood in the house and removal of snow on the roof.
