Honeyfund Registry

Hithere, on May 4, 2021 at 7:32 AM Posted in Registry 0 4
We’ve been working on our gift registry and so far we have about 70 items for Target and 35 for Bed Bath and Beyond. We’re struggling to think of other things we may need. From what I’ve seen online it says to take your guest count and multiply by 2 to get how many gifts you should have on a registry. That would put us at needing about 200 gifts on our list. We decided instead of continuing to add random stuff instead we could do a Honeyfund account to pay for our honeymoon and also gift cards for one of our fav stores REI. But now that I made the Honeyfund account I’m confused as to how our guests will find the Honeyfund info. We found out about it through Target and I added our Target and Bed Bath and Beyond registries to our Honeyfund account, but what should I do to make it known to people? When they use the registry kiosk at Target will the Honeyfund info show up?

Thank you!!

Nowadays most people jusy give cash or a check at the wedding and the physical gifts are primarily for the shower. Honeyfunds charge a fee for being the middle man. I would just leave the 2 registries as is. If people go on and don't see anything they want to purchase, or everything is gone, they'll most likely default to cash anyway. If you're having a shower, try to make sure there are enough physical gifts for that.

Okay great thank you so much I’m going to cancel it then because I was iffy on the fees that they charged anyways. Thank you for the advice! ☺️

I agree with PP. Just register for what you want. if there are no physical gifts left people will give you cash or gift cards anyway in the majority of cases. Many many people gift cash or cards regardless of the registry. No need to let a middleman take a chunk of your cash.

The fee Honeyfund takes is tiny. I’d let guests know about both your registries. Honeyfund lets you link to your retail registry like Target so you can make it your primary if you want.
