So for all of you ladies out there who have recently been married. How many people did you invite to your wedding vs. the amount of people that actually showed up? We have our list up to 90-I hope not that many people really show up, but can you all tell me how many people you invited, and how many...

I am trying to get a good estimation so I can price things, and just for piece of mind. Thank-you!

I don't have my exact numbers in front of me, but I'll guestimate with inviting 110 guests. We have 10 that said no... 8 couldn't make it (4 guests and their +1) and 2 guests have said they are coming but they aren't bringing a +1.

Yes, remember that you have to juggle at both ends regarding your venue and catering.

You need to be able to properly host everyone on your list; at the same time, if there is a minimum for venue and catering, and you don't meet that minimum, you need to just accept that and not let it bother you...

...and in the time since I posted my previous comment, I had three cancel! Since we planned for 129, those costs can now be allocated somewhere else...like booze!

    Invited 115.

    85 replied yes.

We had 2 show up unexpectedly (invited but never rsvp'd) and 2 that were no-shows (got stuck in Seattle traffic- the president was in town.)

We're inviting 65ish and hope for 65 as well but probably only 50-55 will come.

Please see the other thread about the girl that over invited hoping people will decline.

Invite the amount you actually want there. If you don't want 90, please don't invite 90.

We invited 305. (We had a very kid friendly wedding so this included quite a few children). We expected approx 230 to come and ended up with about 210. We knew there were several we sent invites to that would not be able to make it but they were either elderly or lived far enough away & probably wouldn't make it.
