Gotta Love Discontinued/unavailable Items

I guess if it's out of stock I wouldn't change anything since they can get more in a decent amount of time. If it gets discontinued, then yeah that can be frustrating.

I can't wait too long on it though my shower is a month away so if it stays like that for awhile I just chance not getting the items. Rather have piece of mind and pick something else in stock!

I started my registries about 9 months ago, at that point I only registered for everyday items since anything seasonal and clearance would be discontinued by my wedding day. It is recommended that you check your registries every few weeks to update the items. Since there is another season change between now and your wedding there is likely a few more items that will be out of stock or discontinued.

The Target one does this too and it is so annoying! I also have a registry with Amazon so what I have been doing is finding whatever was discontinued with the Target one and finding something similar on Amazon. Target was our main registry when we first started and now its Amazon! I haven't had nearly as many problmes with discontinued items on the Amazon registry

I didn't think about seasonal changes! Good tip. They're mostly household items but I could see how availability of items might change season to season as well. thanks!

Amazon is the bomb! That's why they do so much better than other companies! I had a target registry and cancelled it when I found out walmart does registries haha.

Same thing happened to us for a few items. I wanted a new mirror for the bedroom but the color I wanted was discontinued. Why even list it on the site then?!?

It happens and it is certainly frustrating. If you are really in love with the items you chose I'd wait for them, even if it means you won't get them for your shower. You have to live with them in your house for a long time so it's worth waiting for them to come back into stock. If you are worried about not having enough things on your registry before your shower could you add a few other smaller items - you can never have enough dish towels or throw blankets or cleaning tools...
