Free or low cost park pavilion in New Castle, De?

Sylvana, on July 11, 2020 at 5:47 PM Posted in Delaware Planning 0 3
My fiance and I have now moved to plan C because of the ronas. We postponed our large reception (plan A) and were planning a small family/wedding party only ceremony at my parents house in NJ (plan B).

Well, we live in Florida and his parents are in Delaware. Both of those states are on NJ's travel ban. I'm too worried to risk it so we now plan on an even smaller event with just family and no friends at his parents in New Castle, DE.
I was hoping to get some nice pics of the ceremony and was looking for a free or low cost area in a park, gazebo, etc. Something outside but easy to walk to where we can have a quick ceremony and take some pics? I tried to reserve a pavilion but it says not available. I'm not sure if it's because they are already rented or if they are closed due to COVID.
Wedding is August 8th. Thanks everyone!

Hi Sylvana! Do you have an officiant? I'd try to look for someone who offers elopement packages in the area and can recommend a spot for the ceremony and pictures!

    Hello!

I only lived in Delaware a few years, but I liked walking around Lums Pond. Or try Trap Pond!

    Hope this links helps.....
