First Christmas with my husband, how was yours?

It was the most relaxing, enjoyable Christmas I've had in years. 😁🎄 We decided to take a trip, so the trip is our gift to each other. My husband made Christmas breakfast, I had mimosas, and then in the evening my husband grilled steaks and shrimp kabobs for dinner. Not having to go to my MILS house on Christmas Eve-and having to stay up until 2 am,Catholic tradition-and then not having to go to my moms house at 8am Christmas morning-has been the best. I would be such a grump prior years because I would still have a full day of work on Christmas Eve, then stay up all night at my MILS, then spend all day at my moms. 😐

Our first (and only) engaged Christmas was lovely, still a bit stressful and busy but much better than last year! We each took off the 22nd and spent that whole day together. We ran some last minute errands, made cookies fro our neighbors, finished up wrapping our gifts, and had a lazy night at home. We originally intended to go out to a nice dinner, but I had a terrible cold so we ended up staying home. We did Christmas Eve with FH's family, Christmas afternoon with my dad and stepmom, and had my mom over Christmas night. We did lunch with my grandpa on the 26th. It all went really well and we had a great time. We didn't do gifts for each other this year since we decided to buy a roomba instead, but we did stockings and ornaments.

This was our first married Christmas as well. It was great to celebrate as husband and wife.

This was our first Christmas as an engaged couple, and as much as I hate saying it, it was one of the worst Christmases I’ve ever had. It was just a very stressful weekend where nothing went as planned, and FH and I got in a huge fight on Christmas Day. 😞
