First Anniversary Gift?

What about tickets? Or sheet music (to frame) for your first dance? Or I've found things that show the position of the stars on your wedding day at your wedding location (that was an Etsy find)?

We’re doing a trip, but I did think about presenting him with a paper printout of the skydiving I was going to get him. We decided no presents since the trip is our present to each other, so the skydiving will be for Christmas.

Hello ! I offered a "paper" coupon for a dinner to my husband - we actually went to dinner to the place where we had our wedding party. An he gave me a gift card and a book about cats (that's our thing;-)). Then for the cotton anniversary I offered him a T-shirt saying "My wife is Polish, nothing scares me anymore"

I had our vows printed and framed on a large canvas and he absolutely loved it.

Since Shutterfly sends INCESSANT sales emails, we put a bunch of our wedding photos on prints, puzzles, and so on.

Now I'm trying to figure out 2nd anniversary stuff... without making it about the baby.

Our upcoming 1 year marriage anniversary will be in October and we will be in Mexico! I plan on planning a nice dinner by the beach and ding a couples massage. As for an actual gift, I'm not sure yet, I've been thinking about things. I know we wanted to get our date tattooed on us since we've been married, maybe I will pay for that.

We took a cruise.

Of course, I would not recommend doing that in the current climate. Cruise ships are floating Petri dishes, pandemic or not.

Something I'm a big fan of, that I wish had been around (or that I'd known about) for our first anniversary is an anniversary journal. It fits the paper theme (being a journal) and you also are right on time to start it because it starts with your first anniversary (not your wedding day).

My husband got me an engraved cutting board! it had our initials and wedding date on it.

My husband chose our first dance song, which isn't my favorite, but it was one of the few things he had a strong opinion about -- so that would truly be a gift for him, haha!

I've seen 'The Night Sky' things and those are pretty cool too.

Ordinarily we'd probably just go away for the weekend, but we postponed our honeymoon and are taking that in a few weeks, ending on our first anniversary.

I wish I had the nerve to skydive, haha! Sounds like an awesome Christmas gift!

I love this! I considered something like this, or getting the poem that we had read as our blessing framed -- still going back and forth on what would be best and how we'd display everything.

Haha, our original honeymoon plans were to take an Alaskan cruise this summer, but that's been taken off of the to-do list for the foreseeable future unfortunately.

We're doing a two-week roadtrip in about a month instead.

I love the journal idea though! Are there any in particular you've seen that stood out to you? I know I'm going to go down an Etsy rabbit hole with this one!
