Finally Married!!!! Pictures !!

OMG!! Finally!!! After planning for so long !! Engaged since 2018!! Was supposed to get married in 2020 but was postponed due to Covid!! So 2021 it was!!

Time flew!! One minute I was walking down the isle and the next the DJ was saying it was the last song !! We had a blast! My husband got drunk and my sister (maid of honor) got even more drunk lol. Everyone said they had a great time, it was a great party/wedding and they were happy they were there!! We had about 37 people make it to Cancun so it was perfect!!
It rained for about 10mins so I had to change the location because I didn’t want to risk it!! No regrets though because it was so hot!
Only thing I would change, I would have hired the photographer longer. I did one hour of picture and one hour of video. We got the timeline and it was enough time, or so I thought.. I didn’t account for the guest not “listening” so a lot of time was wasted..
But… everything was perfect!!! I have so many favorite pics but I’ll only share a few !

Enjoy every minute of it because it flies!! Oh, and don’t worry or stress about anything (I was for a minute and I caught myself so I stopped).. everyone is having a blast!!! Thanks to wedding planners! They’re a life saver!!

Thanks! What was the weather like in August? Was there a lot of seaweed on the beach (I keep being warned of this! lol). How did your timing of events workout? I understand they can do up to three weddings a day: 1pm, 3pm, and 5pm. What time slot did you do and were there any other weddings on your same day? Was there a lot of kids when you went? I know it's NOT an adults only resort, but just curios if you would say there were more families vs couples... We prefer adults only, but i need to be accommodating to my fiancé's brother that has kids 😂 . This seems like a great option. Thank you so much!

August weather was great honestly, second year going on the same dates and on both it rain on some days. Even on my wedding day it rain a little but then it stopped. Honestly, I was at the beach only 2 days out of the 7 I was there, only once I got in the water and I didn’t see any.

The timing of events was great… they basically gave me 2 options and I just picked one ( bridal party entrance, our entrance, straight to our first dance, then son/mother & father daughter dance (we chose them together), dinner, cake cutting, speeches and then party. The wedding planner was there the whole time and she’s the one who made sure everything was moving accordingly. Originally we had the 5pm slot, which I wish I had gotten but since I had to postpone, I ended up with the 3pm slot. That time was fine because it ended by 9pm and we still went to the Golden bar for drinks after, until 1pm. Plus some people wanted to do excursions and so 9pm was a good time to end things. I believe there was another wedding on the same day, and the only reason I know is because I saw the bride at the hair salon leaving, otherwise I actually didn’t even ran into them. We did have our reception at the Grand Palapa which is isolated from everything else.
So we stayed at the Excellence Resort in 2020 and I loved it!!! No kids !!!! So we had to stay at the Excellence Rooms at the Finest!! Which I highly recommend. We didn’t hear any kids while in our room. The only reason why I know there was kids was because I saw them getting dropped off at the daycares and because I saw them during the night shows lol. Talked to some parents and they loved the daycare drop offs. I did go to some of my guests rooms who did not stay at the Excellence rooms and I could hear kids at night, crying while being walked to the room or whatever the case was…
If you end up choosing Finest, let me know so I can give you some Intel on what I learned and wished someone would have told me. The hair salon, the venues, Buffet option, photographer, videographer and so on.
