You can wear whatever you want. As long as you’re comfortable. Shein has some really nice inexpensive dresses.

How exciting! You can wear whatever you want, you may even be able to do an outfit change or 2 speak with your photographer. Lulus has a nice wedding events section, if you are looking for something new you might find something fun there! Have fun with it!

Wear whatever you want! We just did one with our wedding photographer (we never did one last year when we got engaged) and this is what we wore

I guess it depends on your vibe and what your style is! I tried on all kinds of dresses but it’s not really what I wear and I wanted to be comfortable and feel myself which my photographer said is important (although it was like 85 degrees in jeans which wasn’t fun)



What kind of things do you normally wear?

Highly recommend Lulus, as I bought my engagement photo shoot, bridal shower, and rehearsal dinner dresses from there. If you’d prefer to shop in-person, check out Dillard’s, Macy’s, and other large department stores, as they usually have a wide selection of dresses, jumpsuits, and other casual and formal outfits.

Your pictures are so cute! We have our session in a week and a half - and we're both inclined to wear jeans. But it's August! I can't decide if I'll survive in jeans, or if I should go get a dress that makes me feel equally comfortable. I guess I'll figure it out.

I bought a dress from Lulus, ended up hating the vibe, so wore a maxi dress I had in my closet. But then we switched outfits to jeans and sweaters (Which is more us in terms of style) and I love those pics way more than any formal fancy dress ones. Wear what you're comfortable in and what reflects you guys!

Ashlee’s last point is spot on. Wear what feels very *you*! It will help you be more comfortable for the shoot and you’ll likely be more satisfied with the pictures when they come back.

Another place to look is Express, I don't know if they have it in store but the website now has a small wedding shop section.

Any ideas what you are looking for in a dress style, length, color wise?

Flowy dresses photograph really well! The one I wore had a high-low chiffon overlay and the photos turned out great! I got it at Macy's.

This might sound odd but I have actually gotten some pretty fun dresses on Amazon. Another fun option if you are in the Us (not sure if its anywhere else) is stitch fix you can have a stylist send you some dresses after filling out a style profile or you can do what they call Freestyle and browse the dresses they have in stock in your size and order it online. Some guidelines for senior pictures said that solid colors worked better than florals for those. I did not see what the reason for this was. Just something you might look into.
