Engagement Photos

Jackie, on September 10, 2019 at 11:42 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 23

I've been engaged since February and I still haven't done my engagement photos. I'm wondering if it's really necessary. Did anyone skip doing their engagement photos and do you regret it?

We are getting married on Nov 2nd and did our engagement session this last week. I opted to do it because my fiance and I have never been posed for photos before. And I wanted us to get a feel and comfortable with the photographer. So not a necessity but a nice option 😉

We weren’t going to do them but my hubby found a Groupon deal for $50. We used one pic for Save The Date and several on our wedding website. Otherwise I would not have spent $100+ because I would instead have put that’s towards the wedding. It’s totally ok to skip.

I’ve been engaged since May 2015, getting married in two months but had our engagement shoot about a year ago. We weren’t going to do it at all, but I wanted pictures for our wedding website and save the date cards. Plus we used one of the pictures with our dog for our 2018 Christmas card. It’s totally up to you, not at all necessary, but I like to look back at the photos sometimes.

Nice to have, definitely something you need to have. We got ours done seven months after we got engaged. We had them done when we were on vacation so we could meet our photographer for our destination wedding.

I am getting married October 2020 and got engaged January 2019. I haven’t done my engagement photos yet but plan to in early March to use for our save the dates. I don’t think it’s necessary which I know some friends of mine have skipped this part. For me, the engagement photos are apart of my package with my photographer so that is why I’m doing it. It’s also nice to have and look back on but that’s just me

We’ve been engaged since February also, getting ours done next month. (Getting married in July) same as some PP we’ve never done professional photos as a couple and my fiancé is very reserved so I’m hoping it will get him a little more comfortable in front of the camera and w our photographer. I also want to use them for save the dates.

Didn’t do them and I don’t regret it. It just wasn’t in the budget and after being together for 7 years, we have plenty of pictures together.

We've been engaged for just over 3.5yrs now and we skipped the engagement photos. I do kind of wish we did them, but I don't totally regret it.

We did not do any engagement pictures and we're both fine with that decision. We'll make up for it with the wedding photos.

It’s all up to you! I did it for a few reasons. For us to have a shoot together and get comfortable with the photographer, to use the pics for our website, save the dates, and possibly other parties leading up to the wedding, and for memories.

We didn't do engagement pictures for nearly 9 months. We just didn't care, it wasn't until we booked a photographer did we take advantage of our complimentary session.

Didn’t do them because FH didn’t want to. I’m still bitter about it because I really wanted to do them. We get married next month tho, so it is what it is.

We've been engaged since November and we just did ours last week. It was included in our package, if it wasn't then we probably would have passed. After a few shots we got really comfortable with the photographer! She did my brother's wedding in 2015 then found out she graduated with FH. So we are excited to have her do the wedding.
