Engagement photos

You can do them whenever you want! I have been engaged since may 2017 and get married in June. Our engagement shoot is scheduled for Sept. 16.

Hoping my fiance will want to do them this soon lol we have been engaged about 2 weeks lol

I get married in November, we just did ours a couple weeks ago.

We were only engaged six months, so ours were done sort of toward the middle of our engagement.

However - something to consider - many of the photographer packages I looked at threw in either an engagement session or bridals as part of the overall cost. This is a good way to get to know your photographer, their style, and just kind of "connect" with them as they take your engagement pictures. Since your photographer is likely to be one of your more important vendors (pictures are very important for most couples), you want to click with him or her.

IMO 'should' is a loaded word in wedding planning. You SHOULD do whatever feels right. It might be fun to do it sooner, but it's whatever you want.

We're doing our pictures in October of this year for our September 2020 wedding. We want to use engagement pictures for our save the dates so by the time we get our pictures back, order save the dates, and send them out, the timing should work perfectly.

We got engaged at the end of June and will be doing our pictures some time during September so I can send out our save the dates at end of October/beginning of November. If you don't plan on using them for your save the dates (if you have them), do them whenever you want!

I just had mine done this past weekend and I'm getting married in 3 weeks. Do them when you want.

We got engaged in July and will probably do ours in October, but you can do yours whenever you like! As PP said, many photographers throw in engagement photos so you may want to wait until you hire a photographer to do them.

You can do them whenever you want to. I got engaged in November of last year and we had our engagement photos taken in February (3 months later).
