Engagement photos with your dog

Hey everyone! I’m looking for some advice and inspiration. We had everything set up and ready to do some fall engagement photos for our save the dates, with our dog of course! Unfortunately, he now needs a major surgery next week, so the pictures aren’t happening right now. We are hoping to do some in the winter months after his recovery is finished. So my question is..
Does anyone have good ideas for simple indoor photos with your pet? Neither my fiancé or I are crazy about the snow, so I’m trying to avoid the outside if I can, but I’m having a hard time finding any type of inspiration. Give me your advice please!

Is there a place you can go that has a fireplace? That might be a good backdrop for engagement photos with your dog included. Otherwise, if you allow the dog on furniture, you could do photos on your couch, with the dog next to you (or at your feet, if not allowed on the couch). Here's a few inspiration pictures I found on Pinterest (I couldn't find a fireplace picture with a dog, but you can easily add a dog into the scene):

We braced the 34° temperature and did ours outside. My sweet fur baby has now passed, so I'm so grateful for our pics. This is my favorite with Gaston, fur baby. We took them in our town square which has tons of significance to my fiancé. I think indoors will give you some great pics. Love the ones people have suggested. Bet your photographer will have ideas, too. Saying prayers for your fur baby and a swift recovery.
