Eloping in the Big Easy!

Hey y’all! My fiancé and I are planning on eloping in New Orleans Aug 4th! We’re between two ideas:
1. Courthouse wedding with photographer/photoshoot in the city afterwards.
2. Pirate Alley w/officiant and photographer.
I know #1 would be the most money conscious(plus we could spend more on photography.) but Pirate Alley just sounds so fun!
We honestly don’t care in the end, we just want to be married.🖤
Any advice? Suggestions? Other ideas?

We also eloped in New Orleans! We had a BLAST! I would definitely do Pirates Alley over the courthouse!

I have been obsessed with New Orleans courtyards ever since the first time I visited, so we were married in a hotel courtyard. We did hire an officiant, and I would highly suggest NOT using her! LOL There are tons of Officiants in the French Quarter that are fabulous though. We actually saw a wedding in Pirates Alley while we were there, and it was adorable. The couple did a celebratory absinthe cheer at the little absinthe bar in the alley. We treated our guests to a nighttime haunted walking tour through the FQ and it was everyone’s favorite activity. If you are into that sort of thing, I would be happy to send you the contact info to the tour guide we used – he was awesome!

This isn’t who we used, but there was a girl on this site when I first started planning our NOLA wedding who used www.romanceinneworleans.com
for their elopement. They offer a Pirates Alley ceremony. For $395, they provide an officiant to perform the ceremony, 1 hour of photography during & after the ceremony, and a recording of the ceremony. She didn’t stick around long enough to give a review of how it went though.
Another place to check out is the French Quarter Wedding Chapel. They provide quickie wedding ceremonies/elopements and the chapel is very much New Orleans meets Vegas- super cool! The haunted tour we did was through https://witchesbrewtours.com/
