Early bridal shower gifts

Hello!

I haven’t sent out save the dates yet or shared my registry but have received a few gifts. I wasn’t sure if we wait until the bridal shower to open or do we open now and send a thank you card? (A bridal shower date hasn’t been set yet either).
Wasn’t sure what was the proper way to go about this. Thank you!

It's fine to open them and send a 'thank you' card now! That way the gift giver knows you got it safe and sound!

Send a thank you note now. Open it now but keep everything in the box until after the wedding.

I agree with the previous comments! I would open them now, then immediately send out thank you notes for them. The person who got it for you will then know you received it.

I would open them now and immediately send a thank you card so the sender knows you received their gift and to show you appreciated whatever the gift(s) were.

Definitely open now - your gift giver will certainly be wondering if you received it! If they wanted you to wait until the bridal shower, they would have held on to the gift themselves until then. Open as gifts arrive and make sure to swiftly thank them for their specific gift. Otherwise, your gift-giver may assume the gift didn't arrive, or worse - that you received it but neglected to thank them!

Definitely open the gift and enjoy it! If it were me, I would go ahead and send the thank you card before you have a chance to forget what they got you!
