Do we do anything else???

Michelle, on September 2, 2019 at 7:27 PM Posted in Parties and Events 0 14

So my ladies are planning my bridal shower at a vineyard. We will have a wine tasting and we get to try 15 wines! They were thinking of games and things to do when we were going to have it in a clubhouse, but now that it's at a winery they are asking do we still play games or do we just tour the vineyard, taste wines, eat and open gifts. I don't know. What do you all think? Has anyone been to or had their bridal shower at a vineyard and had a wine tasting? Thoughts/ideas appreciated. Thanks

I think there's going to be plenty for you to do! I'd skip the games

Thanks! I was hoping we didn't have to. I love games at showers but I figured that would make for a really long day

Oh how fun! Which vineyard are you going to?
I think if you want to add a short game in during lunch while waiting for your food, that would be fine. But I wouldn’t do anything big or long. But the shower plans sounds great!

I see you're getting married in Elkin. I live in WS. I'm gonna visit that winery and try the pizza. It must be good if you have to reserve your dough. That's insane lol

I live in Greensboro! Yes, the pizza at Elkin Creek is amazing! We are actually having it for our rehearsal dinner! A lot of our guests are sad they aren’t getting it at the reception lol.

No games. Enjoy the winery, and conversation with each other. And gifts. That is plenty.

If doing games make them simple, especially if adding in wine 🤷, I went to a shower recently where it was like a question game where both the bride and groom answered questions such as "who is the better driver?" Bride would say what she thought and the groom answered the questions ahead of time and I felt the bridesmaids running the game got so mad that people didn't understand that they needed two answers, what did the bride say and what did the groom say.

I would skip games since there's already a wine tasting, etc. Most people hate the games anyway.

What a fun idea for a bridal shower! I'd skip the games and enjoy that vineyard! Maybe do a fun photo op for those who want a structured thing?
