Change of Name

Emily, on October 29, 2018 at 1:51 PM Posted in Married Life 0 6
We just got married October 21, we are planning to go home to Philippines on January to celebrate with my family there so if I change my name in my passport that will take time and might not make it on January. Can I just use my maiden name for now and then change it when we come back on February? Anyone who experienced this?

Yes! There is no timeline on when you need to change your name by. Do it at your own convenience. It’s smart to wait until after your trip!

You can change your name whenever you'd like. It will definitely be easier to wait until after you've traveled.

We got married three weeks ago and going on our honeymoon in two. I’ve heard that you should wait until after your trip to change your name. I’m waiting since my ticket and reservations for our honeymoon are booked under my maiden name
