Did you change your email address?

I’ve been thinking about how annoying it would be to have to create a new email address with my married name instead of my maiden name, to have to change the email that’s used on all my accounts, to have to check both accounts to make sure I don’t get important mail in the old one... Did you all...

Did you all bother changing your email address when you changed your last name, or did you continue to use the account with your maiden name? If you did change it, how annoying was it to reset everything? Were you able to figure out a way to get the emails forwarded to your new account?

I have two email accounts, my personal one, which is a nickname, so won’t need to be changed and then my professional one. While I am planning on changing my name once I’m married, I am planning on continuing to use my maiden name professionally, at least for awhile. So my email will staySmiley smile.

I changed mine. I'm still in limbo of both but the old one seems to be dwindling down. Once I've had the new one for a year I will probably disable the old one. This was I know if I get an email from a company once a year I know that I have changed it.

I changed my email simply because it got rid of some of the spam I was receiving in my old one. I kept my maiden name email for store discounts/ promotions/ etc.

It wasn't too hard for me to change, because I only did the most important ones (bank account, work, insurance, etc.).

Staring anew is very intriguing! If you don't have important stuff coming in, why not!
My fear is changing everything and forgetting. Perhaps there's a service to track all subscriptions and applications.

Wow! I never thought of that! I guess I'll change mine. It's complicated because it's my sign in for some sites too. Forwarding will be easy and weeding out some of the spam will be nice.
