After an emotional rollercoaster experience due to constant changes, updates, and the unknown, we were able to have our wedding. 25 people on a rooftop overlooking the city. The day was perfect and exactly how God deemed it to be. Here is a photo of me in my dress!

    That is amazing! I’m so happy everything worked out for your special day! My wedding is in October and like everyone else I’ve been on a roller coaster but I feel like now it’s getting worse. Do you have any advice for dealing with family members (like a brother) in talks of not attending the wedding? It’s been really hard on us and I’m not sure what to do...

    Thank you! I understand it’s frustrating that people don’t want to attend. Most of my family lives in New York and did not attend (mainly out of fear of being exposed). I walked myself down the aisle. It was definitely hurtful, but at the end of the day, I didn’t want people there that would be uncomfortable (making the wedding more tense and awkward for me). I had to understand Everyone is dealing with COVID in their own way and is very real experience for each individual person. Deep down I know Everyone that did not feel comfortable traveling and/or attending wanted to be there and was (in spirit). My DJ also streamed my wedding live on Facebook (via a private group) to allow people to still view the wedding). I honestly was grateful to still have my wedding in some form since a lot of brides had to cancel or reschedule their wedding. I had remain positive and determined because the hurdles I had to overcome (with all the changes and updates due to COVID) was not easy. The smaller guest count allowed me to enjoy my wedding and my guests. It was perfect and I am so happy things turned out the way it did! The most Important detail was that my husband and I was there, ready to start our next chapter. This experience truly humbled me and made me realize what’s truly important. Sorry for the long reply.
