Court Weddings

Hi all, just wanted to share our experience and advice. We were planning on getting married in the courthouse, but when we called they were completely booked, one was booked for a month and the other was booked for 2 months out. Those were the only 2 available for courthouse weddings in the county (Cook) we got our license in. The one in downtown normally doesn't accept appointments, but due to Covid appointments are now required. So if you're planning on getting married in court, make sure to book your appointment ASAP! We're now spending a lot of money to get married through an officiant, even though it'll be worth it, we could've saved $450+.
