Country bachelorette party

melissa, on June 12, 2018 at 10:31 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 11
Hello Ladies,

So I’ve been discussing with my bridesmaids about going somewhere that’s very country (Would love to go to Nashville!!). I really want to be somewhere I can listen to live country music, rustic, great food, shops and maybe some activities in the area. I love Country music and I really want to go to Nashville but I don’t want my girls to spend close to 1,000$ for a weekend for me. (Even though I said I would pay my way). Is there any other areas besides Nashville that I can go?? I wanted to get a house so we can cook and drink and play games. But I really want to go out for country live music.. I’m really not into the club scene.

thank you in advance!!

I'm not sure about the price of flights from NJ to Nashville but I just had my bachelorette party in Nashville a few weeks ago and it's very affordable! Our Airbnb was less than $100 per person for the entire weekend (8 girls total) and the food and drinks are cheap too if you go to the right places. There's no cover at 90% of the bars on the strip and there's live country music in almost every bar as well. I vote you go to Nashville for sure! Let it be known that there are like 3-4 bachelorette parties in every bar so it's a cliche place to go but I didn't care because I absolutely love Nashville.

Gatlinburg, pigeon forge, Asheville NC, Knoxville, Memphis. If you get cabins in these places, they aren't that bad and they're beautiful.

If you want to lessen the individual costs of attendees to your destination bachelorette, how about paying their accommodations? I had a destination bachelorette in New Orleans. Normally, direct flights from Washington DC to New Orleans is about $150, however, since we wanted to go over the weekend - leave on Friday and get back on a Sunday - the price went up to $350-$400! Even though I did cover the Airbnb apartment, my bridesmaid still chipped in roughly $400/ea (on top of airfare) because they were covering my food and entertainment the whole weekend. They wouldn't let me pay.

I don't know about flights, but I second this.
I went last August for a week for a work conference, and we had an absolute blast. It's super cheap to drink and eat, and you'll get tons of live music (country and others).

Definitely stay at a B&B or some of the nearby downtown motels. We stayed at the Gaylord, which was 20 minutes away (so..about $30 Lyft ride) and was over $300 night.

There are country bars everywhere. You don't have to have a destination bachelorette in order to hear live country music.

Anything involving flights and hotels is going to add up verrrry quickly. Is there not a local bar or night out you could do? Or something within road trip (3-4 hours by car or less)?

Texas would be fun! And may be cheaper, depending on where you live. Other southern states, Georgia, South Carolina, Florida, North Carolina also have heavy country influence. Even Denver! I live in Denver and we have the Grizzly Rose here, a pretty big country bar. Temecula in southern CA also has a cool country bar, Stampede. You could also time it during a festival or country concert (in any town) and plan to go with your friends?

I am from NJ and went to one of my BF's bach parties there and it didn't cost me anywhere near $1000. I think if you shop around you will be able to find affordable options! Nashville was a lot of fun, we went during football season and there was a game the weekend we went the bars were HOPPING! It was so much fun!

I think a weekend in Nashville is definitely doable well under 1k depending on your flights. I’m from the area and it’s pretty affordable. Maybe shop around for private AirB&B options versus downtown hotel prices. TN wise, you can also try out Knoxville which is a blast and/or rent a cabin in the Smokies with hot tub and fireplace- moonshine distillery, bars, live country music, cool activities all around that area too! Smiley smile
