Christian Bachelorette party

Alessandra, on June 7, 2018 at 10:51 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 26

So i'm a pastor's kid and i want to have a bachelorette party. But I don't know what we can do since I am not old enough to drink and my beliefs make it so where I don't want the normal bachelorette party. What things can I do instead??

What about a paint and sip night with your closest girls? No one said you had to be sippin' on anything other than water Smiley smile Or a 'spa' night- get facial masks, stuff for home done pedis and manis (if it isn't right before the wedding).

    ^^^the above sounds fun!

I’m not Christian and I’m 32, but I also don’t like the typical alcohol/stripper/dancing/club/wild chaos that most people expect. You don’t have to do that, it’s supposed to be fun for you! I did manicure-pedicures together with a group of girls including my sisters/bridal party/close friends, and then we got dressed up and went to a fondue restaurant I love for a 4 course dinner! It was perfect and everyone enjoyed it so much!

My husband is similar to me and also didn’t want some wild event. The boys went to a hibachi dinner and then a comedy club.

I'm not one for clubs, bar hopping, and getting trashed so if anything, I would have loved a movie, a good restaurant, maybe something fun like an indoor trampoline park like Sky Zone or an amusement park... something along the lines of that. There are so many fun things to do that don't encompass a "typical" bachelorette!

I'm always down for a Spa Day/Party, Paint and Sip (Painting party with cider or mocktails) or an Escape Room. You definitely don't have to drink to have a good time.

If you live in a city or close to one, go to a play (Hairspray or Cats, maybe?), museum, or opera. If you're the outdoors type, go rock climbing or zip lining.

You could go out to dinner with your friends and then go back to the house or a hotel suite for a night of wedding movies and yummy desserts! I like the paint and sip idea too! I actually did that for a friend of mine, except I got all the paint supplies and some pictures for reference and we did it at the house so we could watch movies Smiley smile and we sipped hot chocolate Smiley winking your bachelorette party should be a time for you to celebrate with your friends, and that can be absolutely anything that is enjoyable for YOU! Smiley smile

These are all really awesome suggestions. I'd also say a tea party (like afternoon tea in England) is really fun. For my non-drinking bachelorette party we got dressed up, had a tea party in a restaurant, and then did an escape room.

Has anyone offered to throw you a bach party yet? It's not something you would plan for yourself. But if/when that occurs, you can give them some ideas of things you would like, then they can plan according to their budgets. Depending on where you live, you could:

    go horseback riding

go to one of those super fun go-cart places

    games & movie night

    spa treatments/manicures

    out to dinner

    escape room

pretty much anything that you enjoy doing, you can make your bachelorette party. Just remember, this is a party that SOMEONE ELSE plans and hosts for you.

Bowling or putt putt too depending on the time of year!!! Paint and Sip is also a great idea!!! I do these with friends and my Gram (she's hilarious and amazing) and she always just drinks coffee. Movie/game night is also a fun idea or if you like crafts you can do a crafting night!

I am a Christian as well, as is most of my family, my sister is my MOH and will be planning my Bridal shower/bachelorette party. She knows i'm pretty conservative and she has become too so we highly agree on keeping it clean lol. From my past experiences of attending Christian bridal/bachelorette parties, the married women invited or if they're widowed and invited as well, your Bridal party, close friends, they bring gifts, eat together, gather in a intimate circle to give the bride marital advice, I have seen them give lingerie but keep it clean, they open gifts together and the bride shows it off to them what she was given, take pictures together, play games.

There are a good amount of things that can be done as a Christian while keeping it respectful if that's the right word because of our belief and comfortable while not seeming like it's odd or not "typical" depending on how others envision it.

I'm not sure what local businesses you have, but where I am, you get a group of friends together and an instructor takes you, as a group, step by step through a painting. You choose the painting in advance, and the business provides everything- brushes, paint, canvases, tools. You just show up, and they show you how to paint. Generally, these are combined with wine drinking and snacks, but as I said earlier you certainly do not need alcohol to have fun. Business such as Muse Paintbar, or Painting with a Twist can help you. I seriously cannot draw and thought I wouldn't be able to paint either. I now have paintings hung in my home that I actually love.

There are TONS of non-traditional bachelorette party ideas! An at home spa day, a day in an actual spa, a movie night at home, going to a nicer movie theater that serves dinner, going out to dinner and getting appetizers/small plates to share with everyone, bowling, escape room, getting a hotel room in a neighboring city and spending the night in another town, a shopping day, cooking class, painting class, lake/ocean/river day!

I think a spa day would be nice. Get pampered always nice and relaxing. I’m 37 but I’m not about bars, clubbing or heavy drinking. Honestly, we are having our bachelor and bachelorette parties together and going this huge arcade place in Seattle. They have a restaurant attached also. It’s perfect for the both of us! Maybe do some miniature golf.

Not sure about your location, but a lot of bachelorette parties in my area is a day/weekend beach trip!

I’m not anti-drinking but I did want something low key without wearing a goofy veil or penis paraphernalia in public. So six of my friends and I had a game night, they made some food for me, and we had a fire in my friends fire pit. We did drink, but you could just as easily not drink and have plenty of fun!

Well my FH and I are in a similar boat religiously. His brother has decided on go carting and indoor air soft. For my bachelorette, we're thinking of just going shopping for honey moon stuff and a nice dinner after. I'm more laid back so a big party isn't me.
