No. In most recipes for mimosas, people are suppose to use dry sparkling wine not a sweet one. Prosecco is light. I think it would work.

I usually use Andre or Cooks. Cheap is fine for mimosas.

Don't waste good champagne or anything bubbly on mimosas. Not worth it.

Champagne isn't a good choice for mimosas. Choose a different sparkling wine, a prosecco or cava would be better. I'd advise going to a specialty store and asking questions

I just got a case of prosecco by La Vostra as it was recommended by one of the dudes working at our large wine and spirits store. It's really tasty and less than $10 per 750ml.

Thanks everyone, I will definitely go with something cheap but I think I will have a mix of sweet and dry as it seems to be a personal preference thing

I like Cava Brut. We usually use Rondel. Its in a blue bottle. You can get it from Total Wine.

Costco carries a good Prosecco that's affordable.

We’re using J. Roget sparkling wine. $12.99 for 1.5L. We bought a small bottle and some juices to try before we decided and it was really good.

In mimosas it shouldn't matter much. I joke to my fiance when I don't find champagne drinkable, that it's mimosa grade.

    I wouldn't even use a champagne, I'd get a sparkling wine or a prosecco.
