Catering Alternatives?

Eileen, on October 24, 2019 at 8:32 PM Posted in Alaska Planning 0 1

Hi all! I'm wanting to hire someone to be in charge of food at my reception. We are planning a BBQ style meal. We have all the meat in our freezer already (Moose, Venison, Halibut) and are planning on making it into burgers/dogs this winter. We'll be buying bulk side dish ingredients from Costco and making cold sides a few days ahead. Does anybody know of a service where I can provide the food and just have someone prepare it and be in charge of setting up the buffet/etc? Not even sure if this sort of thing exists.

Welcome to the WeddingWire community Eileen! Congratulations on your engagement!

If I'm being honest with you, I think you will find it quite difficult to find a company that will take on the cooking and serving of your food without preparing it themselves. Catering companies will not have insurance that covers cooking and serving food that they cannot vouch for the sourcing and production of.

How did you originally envision cooking and serving your meal?
