Card for Bridal Shower

A good friend of mine and his wife got married last year but are having a larger wedding this year because they could not have the wedding they originally planned due to Covid and in September his wife is having a surprise bridal shower that I've been invited to. I'm wondering what type of card to give since they are technically already married and have been for over a year. I'm not sure what the etiquette is for something like this. Any thoughts?

    There are blank cards that you could buy and just write whatever you would like. Or you can buy a traditional bridal shower card and write in it about how you know they've already been married a year but how you hope their wedding is everything they have dreamed of and wishing them many more happy years together. I always think the handwritten note inside is way more meaningful than whatever pre-printed stuff is on the card.

    I agree with Hannah. I also think a congratulations to the newlyweds card would work in this case and you could just write a little note inside the card about being happy to attend and hoping they like the gift or something.

    A bunch of stores are actually selling post-marital bridal shower cards etc. I think because Covid affected so many people & their weddings. I've seen a few myself at different stores
