I’m in Chicago -‘d decided to keep my 7/4/20 wedding date, but reduced the guest count from 150 to 40 people. We’re taking a gamble that 50 people be okay by then. We’re still very excited but are also keeping an open mind and accepting that things are still up in the air

Best of luck to you also. As long as things don't take a turn for the worse again, our church will marry us. Now I'm hoping the banquet facility will still be able to host our reception. Fingers crossed.....

I’m in Western Ma, and we are postponing our October wedding to next year, but still getting married our date this year and doing a micro-wedding. If you’re ok with masks, and having to cut guests, then keep it! That was a no for us. I planned a great party, and I plan to have it when people can actually travel in and dance, mask free!

We were scheduled for June 27 but decided to postpone in late April I believe. We waited it out as long as we could and at the time it was no hope. Its a little heart breaking we probably couldve gotten away with it with close family and friends but it is what it is. Its working out for the best so fingers crossed for march 2021.

I have hope for your August wedding! I’m not sure what your guest list is but If its large I would keep in mind there is a possibility you’ll have to trim it down. Id reach out to your venue and see what the guidelines are now and what they may be for the next phase.

Nov 7th here. Still holding out since we have a guest list of under 50 but my backup plan is rent a tent and have it in the backyard if the venue chooses to cancel or anything.

Unfortunately my venue cancelled all summer and fall weddings larger then 50 so we are going on zoom. I’m doing it up for the virtual ceremony. We are hoping to have the party July 2021 and honeymoon (that got cancelled to ) July 2021. Really praying that things get better.

So, I have good news and bad news for you.
    The good news:
(From the Boston Globe description of the phases)
Weddings, events, and large gatherings of “moderate” capacity can be held in parks, reservations, and open spaces under Phase 3.That's not very specific, but it does sound promising.
The bad newsSmiley sadFrom the state's reopening guidelines)Brides in Massachusetts? Thoughts? 1
I think phase 3 is going to be loooong, because it seems like phase 4 is dependant upon a vaccine being available, and I think we're going to be wearing masks until phase 4 starts.Brides in Massachusetts? Thoughts? 2

I know i saw that too! At the same time he never explains what is actually allowed and what isn't or when. I am gonna wait until he eventually makes it more clear before i make a decision. So frustrating lol

Good luck! We postponed our large August ceremony in Mass. to next year and are eloping on our original date. We waited until Baker made the phase announcement a few weeks ago and then immediately made the call to postpone. Personally, we decided to postpone because guidance was unclear (and remains unclear) and it just did not seem like it would be a "normal" wedding. It also seems like masks are required at each phase (even phase 3 and 4) unless you can socially distance between parties, which we thought would not be possible on the dance floor. However, who knows? Maybe 2021 will be even worse...

Totally agree with you! He never gives a clear answer and who knows what 2021 will bring. I have a backup date for next year just Incase it isn’t possible this year. Good luck to you guys and congrats!

Yes, also agree! One of the charts I saw also noted that Phase 4 was essentially resuming normal behavior once a vaccine is available. Unfortunately, I don't think any kinds of events this year will be returning to normal Smiley sad

I am planning to get married on August 29th but I am unsure what is considered "moderate capacity". Wondering what this is in terms of numbers.
