Bridal Sprinkle anyone? Anyone?

M.M., on October 3, 2018 at 2:06 AM Posted in Parties and Events 0 7
My friends are getting together for a bridal sprinkle for me because I didn't want a shower. So I agreed to a potluck with deserts. Has anyone every been to a sprinkle before?

A sprinkle is a shower- it’s just usually smaller than a typical one. All the sprinkles I’ve attended have been for friends having their second or third baby. Usually it’s because they are having a baby that’s a different gender and while they don’t need the big stuff, they can use clothes/blankets/diapers for the new baby.

I’ve heard of baby sprinkles, never a bridal sprinkle. Usually if you don’t need anything but just want to have a gathering it’s called a bridal luncheon.

Yes, as PPs said, a baby sprinkle is in lieu of a baby shower. They’re for moms that have had babies before and don’t need as much stuff as first-time moms (so they are “sprinkled” with gifts instead of showered). A bridal sprinkle doesn’t really make sense - it sounds like you’re just having a more casual shower.

Well thank you that changes things. I'm not having a sprinkle because I'm not expecting. I guess the girls will have to change it to kitchen tea party.

My cousin just got married and her sister threw her a shower. She didn't have a registry for gifts but a registry for a Honeymoon Fund. Everyone contributed .She even received a few gifts. The shower was held at a vineyard. So even though you're not expecting much. You still will get stuff. Let your girls throw the party . Just another day to spend with family and friends

Hi there! I agree with all of the above comments! A sprinkle is just a smaller version of any shower, and typically relates to pregnancy! My cousin actually had a mini-bridal shower instead of a large shower, where she only invited very close friends and family and requested that no one brings gifts and just comes to celebrate! I think this is a really nice idea for those who don't want a big shower! Also, I love the idea of doing a dessert potluck! Who came up with this idea? What are you planning to bring? Smiley smile
